THE MISSION

Our mission is to inspire current High School Artists and Athletes who doubt themselves on the court, classroom and in their daily lives. Doubting is us being careful, studying and evaluating our next successful move. Doubt is pressure that allows us to think creatively. Embrace Doubt; and let it make you stronger and help you become the best version of yourself.

The vision is to promote students and put them in the spotlight. A place where their hard work, dedication and efforts will not go unnoticed. A place where they can be acknowledged and rewarded for embracing their doubts.

THEME

High School Student Athletes.

Artists must draw a current High School Athlete in uniform.

The artist and athlete must be attending the same school.

​

ELIGIBILITY

All 9 -12 Grade High School Students 18 years old and younger are encouraged to participate in the contest.

​

CONTEST RULES

-Students may create the artwork using a photograph taken by the student, family member, art teacher, friend, etc.

-ANY PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN BY A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER IS NOT ALLOWED to be used as a source.

-Artwork must be completed by the student only.

-No more than 2 submissions per student.

FORMAT & REPRESENTATION​

• Photograph file of artwork must be of highest quality under 15MB.

  •  Poor quality Photograph of artwork may affect judging results.​

• Artwork must NOT be framed or outlined with borders.

• Artwork should clearly represent the theme of the contest.

• No profanity or inappropriate images.

 

Artworks are subject to disqualifications if they do not meet contest standards and rules.

 

MEDIUM

Permitted: acrylic, oil paint, watercolor, markers, pens, felt-tip pens, soft ball-point pens, indian ink, colored pencils, crayola, pencil, soft pastels, charcoal or any similar medium.

Not Permitted: computer-generated artwork; collage work involving the use of photocopies.
 

AWARDS
1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners are selected from submissions. 

1st place: $100 Cash Prize, Embrace Doubt Sunglasses ($40 value), Certificate

2nd place: $75 Cash Prize, Embrace Doubt Sunglasses ($40 value), Certificate.

3rd place: $50 Cash Prize, Embrace Doubt Sunglasses ($40 value), Certificate.

 

 Depicted athletes of winning  entries will also receive a pair of Embrace Doubt Sunglasses!

REPRODUCTION RIGHTS
Once received, entries become (and remain) the property of Embrace Doubt, and may be used for a variety of purposes. (See Terms and Conditions)
